When Mattamy Homes set out to showcase its stacked townhome product from its Clairmont community, the goal wasn’t simply to display a building, it was to help prospective homeowners understand how it feels to live within it.
While floor plans, renderings, and brochures all play an important role in the sales process, stacked townhomes can present unique visualization challenges. Buyers often need help understanding how homes are organized within the building, how levels connect, and how individual units relate to one another.
To bridge that gap, Mattamy Homes partnered with NEEZO Studios to create a custom architectural scale model that transforms a complex housing product into an intuitive and engaging experience.
The result is a transparent, color-coded scale model that serves as both a stunning sales gallery display and a powerful communication tool.
One of the greatest challenges in marketing stacked townhomes is helping buyers visualize what isn’t immediately visible.
Unlike detached homes, stacked townhome communities feature multiple residences arranged vertically within the same structure. Understanding circulation, unit placement, entrances, and floor-to-floor relationships can be difficult when relying solely on two-dimensional plans.
To address this, NEEZO designed a custom transparent model that reveals the inner workings of the building while preserving its architectural character.
Using translucent and colored acrylic, individual units can be quickly identified and understood. Exposed stairways, balconies, entrances, and circulation paths allow visitors to see how the building functions from every angle.
The result is a model that communicates information instantly, helping buyers understand the product within seconds of approaching it.
Every architectural model we create is designed around a specific objective.
For this Mattamy Homes project, the objective was clear: create a display piece that would support conversations between sales representatives and prospective homeowners while making the buyer journey more engaging and informative.
The model’s transparent construction encourages exploration and interaction. Visitors can walk around the display, examine relationships between units, and gain a better understanding of the home’s layout than they could through floor plans alone.
At the same time, the model serves as a striking visual centerpiece within the sales gallery environment, drawing attention while reinforcing the quality and thoughtfulness behind the community itself.
NEEZO Studios has earned a reputation as one of North America’s leading architectural model makers, working alongside many of the most respected developers, builders, architects, and marketing teams in the industry.
Our models can be found in sales galleries, corporate headquarters, municipal presentations, and project launches across the continent, helping communicate complex developments with clarity and impact. From large-scale master-planned communities to highly detailed residential projects like this one for Mattamy Homes, every model is designed to tell a story, support decision-making, and bring future communities to life before construction begins.
